Join us for a fun, family-friendly community event to help new farmers fight back thistle! It’s also a great opportunity to meet fellow growers and small farm appreciators, learn about Headwaters Farm and the Headwaters Incubator Program, and take out any frustrations you’re harboring on spiky, invasive plants.
When: Thursday, July 11th from 4:30 – 6:30 followed immediately by a picnic potluck (and tour if folks are interested).
Where: Headwaters Farm – 28600 SE Orient Drive, Gresham OR, 97080. On Orient Drive about a half-mile east of 282nd you’ll see a sign on your right for Guererro’s Nursery. Take that driveway. Signs will be posted along the driveway to get you to the meeting spot.
What to bring: Your favorite anti-thistle hand tool (we’ll have extras too), a pair of gloves, a water bottle, and a dish and/or beverage to share.
Why: Because we like farmers, but not thistle!
