Conservation of our District’s natural resources takes partnership. Sometimes the most effective way to advance our goals is to help support others doing the work. We developed our Grants and Cost Share programs as a way to provide our partners with the financial and technical resources needed to tackle a range of conservation projects and provide workshops and hands-on opportunities for community members within the District.

Do you need help writing a grant application or pulling information together for a report? Are you having trouble with the reimbursement process? Our grant program manager is available for phone or video calls. We can also visit your site and provide advice or suggest resources to get your project off the ground.

Need information in a different language or other assistance? use the translation tool in the upper right-hand corner of our web page or send an email with your request.

We understand that different projects have different needs, so we offer a variety of grants. Smaller community projects may only need a short-term boost, while a larger restoration project may require several years and many thousands of dollars to complete. Private landowners often wrestle with natural resource issues but may not have the technical expertise or financial resources to address the problem. We have three distinct grant and financial assistance programs to assist and meet these needs:

  • Apply: learn about the grant programs and what we fund, and download the application forms and guidelines.
  • Explore: find inspiration by learning about grant projects we’ve funded in the past.
  • Connect: discuss your project with us and get updates about our grant programs in this section.

Your dedication, creativity and hard work accomplish great things for the community and we would love to be a part of it!
