The North Fork of Johnson Creek passes through the Dianna Pope Natural Area

The North Fork of Johnson Creek passes through the Dianna Pope Natural Area. EMSWCD has worked to improve water quality and the habitats adjoining Johnson Creek and other local streams.

The Dianna Pope Natural Area can be found within EMSWCD’s Headwaters Farm property. EMSWCD has been working to restore and enhance the riparian habitat bordering the north fork of Johnson Creek found within this 14.5-acre natural area. Improvements to water quality, stream temperature and the adjoining upland habitat are underway primarily through reforestation. Additional information on EMSWCD’s efforts can found in the Site Conservation Plan and by contacting Julie DiLeone, Rural Lands Program Supervisor, at (503) 935-5360 or julie@emswcd.org.

Please note that due to the sensitive nature of the habitat restoration plantings within this area, it is not currently open for public access.
