East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District is excited to partner with Portland Nursery to present a Rain Gardens 101 workshop!
Learn how to add a beautiful rain garden in your yard to can help protect local streams and reduce flooding. This workshop will teach participants how to assess their property for the best rain garden location and size, choose the right plants, and how to construct and maintain your rain garden.
***Classes this fall will be held in our Greenhouse1, which is located in the main courtyard, right across from the store. It is a large greenhouse that functions as a covered outdoor area. If the weather is warm, we will have fans on and water available. If the weather is cold, we will have heaters going. Either way, please remember to dress so that you are comfortable during the presentation.***

Registration closes when the event is sold out or 2 hours before the workshop begins.
Accessibility Notes
- Water: We recommend participants bringing a reusable water bottle to reduce single use plastic.
- Snacks: Light snacks will be provided. There will be vegan and gluten-free options.
- Interaction level: Low. This is a presentation-style workshop with a presenter sharing the majority of the information. There are opportunities for participants to ask questions throughout the presentation. Participation is optional.
