New Video Series – Planning the Future of Your Farm

A tractor tills the soil between rows of vegetable crops. In the distance, blue skies over foothills and evergreen trees.

Planning now for your farm’s transition ensures that you decide what that future will be. Thinking about the future can feel overwhelming, but planning ahead helps make sure your hard work continues to support future generations and the agricultural community. If you own a farm operation, we have a free five-part video series to help you get started.

Farm Transition Video Series

In this new free five-part video series, we overview the steps involved in transitioning your farm operation to family members or other owners. By carefully planning and using the tools and support available, you can create a healthy future for yourself, your community, and Oregon agriculture.

New $1,000 Incentive!

Watch the video series at your own pace. The first three folks from within the EMSWCD boundary to complete the series will receive up to $1,000 in services from Oregon Agricultural Trust’s farm transition advising program. Contact Matt Shipkey at matt@emswcd.org.

You can also view the entire series in the playlist below. Use the ⇒ and ⇐ arrows to navigate through the videos, or the ☰ in the upper right to select a video.

These free videos and worksheets were developed with you and your farm’s future in mind. This series was created by Diana Tourney, with funding support from the Clackamas, Tualatin, and East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation Districts, your local conservation experts.
