The East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District (EMSWCD) is seeking an Outreach and Education Intern for the Urban Lands program. The Outreach and Education Intern will help promote program offerings through a variety of activities including but not limited to coordinating educational workshops, maintaining supplies, gathering and tabulating data, supporting staff with annual event preparations, and engaging the community through tabling at community events, email marketing, social media, and surveys.

Work ranges from routine administrative tasks to very social interactions with partners and the public. This position requires a mix of communication skills, organizational/coordination skills and computer skills. The ideal candidate has an interest in natural resource conservation, is computer proficient, has strong written and verbal communication skills, is willing to take initiative, and has a flexible and helpful personality.
