Time: 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Location: Leach Botanical Garden
Address: 6704 SE 122nd Ave, Portland, 97236

Explore the benefits of gardening with Native plants! We will introduce you to common native plant communities in Portland, show examples of species that do well in similar growing conditions, share successful planting tips that will help them thrive and more! A native plant slideshow will highlight characteristics and desired growing conditions of many local favorite native groundcovers, shrubs and trees. You’ll walk away with loads of information so you can decide which native plants will work well in your yard.

Please note that accessibility will be limited for this event. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early so that you have time to walk through the gardens to the event space. Due to extended bridge construction, there will be no vehicle access to the Manor House and no access from the parking lot at SE 122nd Drive/Brookside. Parking will be at the SE Claybourne lot. The walk from parking to the Manor House is about 800 feet downhill through the garden on paths that are lovely, but regretfully are not wheelchair accessible, and not easy to navigate for those with mobility challenges. Future events will be fully accessible.

This event is currently full, but you may:
