Welcome the Rain! 2010

Welcome the Rain! celebrates the rainy season by highlighting creative ways to solve some of the challenges that stormwater can bring to the urban environment.

Geared to address the community's growing desire for more information on urban stormwater issues, Welcome the Rain! offers information and resources for participants to explore ways to help improve water quality for people, fish and wildlife. Join us and soak up some knowledge!:

• FREE WORKSHOPS! Learn about wet weather bicycling tips, rain gardens, naturescaping, rainwater harvesting, disconnecting your downspouts, and more.

• Local businesses and community groups will share materials, resources and tips that will help homeowners make the most of their water conservation awareness.

• Ride your bike! Join the guided bicycle tour that will highlight stormwater solutions in the neighborhood.

• Free daycare will be provided by Creative Childcare Solutions, Inc. so parents can enjoy a workshop or two without worry.
